More than rap...
JD POM (JaDarius Duncan). American rapper/producer from Charlotte North Carolina, later in JD’s childhood he moved to the outer cities of Charlotte to Concord and Kannapolis, NC.
JD started rapping and making music at the age of 16 on his iPhone and releasing them on SoundCloud. At the age of 17, he became a member of the group, Pursuit Of Money also known as POM. Shortly after POM released their first mixtape in 2016, JD followed up with his first solo project, MIdnight Dreams. JD featured songs with POM members(POM Jay, Aji POM, POM Cin, POM Ree, Foe-2, Pure Unknown Asia), Regular Erik, 704Kee, and other artist from the Charlotte Area. JD gained local popularity off his single & video called “Respect.”
In 2016, JD released his first project, named Unprofessional Music 2 on Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play. After releasing the EP, JD gained fans from across the US, Canada, & Europe.
On Unprofessional, he displays his talents as a rap lyricist while storytelling of his days in NC - Charlotte, Concord, & his current residence in the K (Kannapolis). Unprofessional drew the attention of Geto Boys’ legend Willie D.
In 2017, JD released his first mixtape, “No Morals” Where he displayed all types of unheard talent from the Charlotte area. After gaining a lot of National & International attention JD called out his local community for not giving support to Charlotte artists. In 17 & Runnin JD mentioned his disappointment -“I’m trying to bring my city but my city ain’t even trying!””JD also connected with Nick Anthony in Florida on the single, Control featuring singer/rapper. Meanwhile he continues to get underground attention for singles, “My Boo” & new release, “Wave”. JD is currently working on singles with Willie D of the Geto Boys and on his third official project.
